Somehow I was directed to run a 1.5 mile loop twice. And then I was sent on a wrong turn and the volunteer had to chase me down, at which point she told me that if I just kept going down the wrong street I would end up back on the course. On two other occasions the junctions were so poorly marked that I had to ask the inattentive volunteers which way to go. By the halfway mark, I had run over 15 miles and they were shutting down the course. So I bailed. What a mess.
