This race is my favorite! I ran the 4-miler three years ago and the half marathon the past two years. The aid stations are fun and frequent with great crowd support. The course is great, scenic and just difficult enough. And the swag is always the best! This year, they outdid themselves with a wine stopper finisher’s medal and a full-sized bottle of wine as our finisher’s gift. The best part was we had a choice in type of wine! The after-party is always a good time and they had medal engraving, so I could get my PR time engraved on my medal. I will say, this year they only had porta johns at the bag check and even though there were 20-30, there were lines at each at the start of the race. So, if you are one who needs to go pre-race, get there early.
