Not a flat race, but the first half had amazing scenery and beautiful views of the lake. I’m from very flat land, so it trashed my quads, but I still ended up with negative splits. We got the coolest shirt I’ve ever gotten from a race. I felt comfortable with the COVID precautions in place (the wave start worked out perfectly, and aid stations were fully stocked but volunteers did not hand out items), although some stated rules were not followed (no masks at start or finish or pick up). Bathrooms were plentiful on the course and although aid stations were more spaced out than some races I’ve done, it was definitely sufficient! Overall, I’d highly recommend this race. The town is lovely as well.
