Well organized race. Excellent trail markings, albeit thankfully there was volunteers on the course as there was at least one junction that might have confused runners. Nice trails, a bit of mud and soft sand, but nothing difficult.
Aid stations were well stocked and volunteers ready to assist.

The course is totally flat on a crushed gravel path. There is a hill that you have that you have to go up and down twice during the course, but it isn’t bad. It can get a little boring especially at night. Good if you have a pacer to keep you company. After mega hours on your feet and a train blows its whistle in the wee hours of the morning, better than coffee 😉
There are bikers and walkers sharing the path and sometimes the bikers can sneak up on you. Aid stations were perfect with the full ultra menu and not far apart. I wasn’t crewed, it was my first hundo and I’ll admit I walked a good portion of it.

8 laps around a couple of lakes, how hard can that be? I researched the course and it looked like wasn’t technical at all. The cutoffs were stretching my old man limits but I thought I could pull it off. So basically the course is a nice wide path around the lakes and passing by the start/finish gives you the opportunity to access your drop bag. There was a unmanned water station and a halfway point aid station. What I didn’t expect was a hill that you had to go up and down each loop. It was fairly rocky and rooty, I don’t do well with that stuff having a shoulder injury I hate tripping and falling. My first DNF. I still have this race on my radar.
