This was my first full marathon ever. Needless to say, I have been spoiled by the amazing scenery throughout the race that made the running all the easier, as well as the runners and the cheering crowds around me who gave off a lot of positive vibes. I live in San Francisco, so I’ve had the privilege of training on hills all the time. This certainly helped me a ton with the marathon, because the hills in this race actually did not feel as difficult as I had anticipated, despite my initial fear.
