Lauren Li's Staging Area

Bag check was easy and convenient! The corral experience was fine and I appreciate that the race got started quickly and efficiently. There were tons of cones marking the course for the first half. The second half/loop, there were a lot less cones and lot less runners – so I found that I needed to pay more attention to be sure I was actually staying on course! The support was excellent – a perfect number of water stops. I enjoyed the DJs and silly signs along the course. The neighborhoods are gorgeous and there is plenty to see with boardwalks through swamp area, tons of little lakes, palm trees and golf course. The course overall is super flat and easy. I hear that the boardwalks can get slippery but I did not experience that during my race. I’m also not very fast! The finish line was fantastic – I’ve never been cheered so loud and well before. I felt like an actual celebrity coming in! I wish there had been full water bottles/sports drink bottles after the finish, but that’s a minor gripe. I would run this race again for sure and very much recommend it! I LOVE my swag blanket and am curled up with it right now! It’s so warm and soft. Parking was also easy and I had no problems with traffic congestion in or out.
