This race deserves all the shout-outs! The Buffalo Marathon Weekend is a very well coordinated and put together race. The moment you sign up you are kept in the know about what is going on. The race itself is amazing. The course takes you through some beautiful neighborhoods in the city of Buffalo. There are always spectators along the course cheering you on. You really feel the Buffalo “good neighbor” spirit at each turn during your race. The course is very well marked and they have plenty of volunteers/staff/police to make sure the course stays clear and safe. As you cross the finish there is plenty of cheers and an announcer who says your name and congratulates you on your amazing effort. After you receive your medal, the post race party is close by and you can go and refresh yourself with something cold to drink. Definitely recommend Buffalo Marathon/Half/5k to anyone who loves a good hometown race.
