The name of the series says it all. The medals are big and beautiful. The shirts are nice and comfortable. The view when running over the bridge is nice but the rest of the course is bland. I was a little disappointed as these races do tout “beach” and “scenic” run. The organization was not bad. We got there early and were able to find a great parking spot and pick up my bib without a wait. Beer and BBQ were tasty. This was my second in the series for this year. I am really looking forward to the last two races. I plan on doing the half marathon for all of the series next year.

This was my first ever BAM race and it was fantastic. The energy was great, it was well organized and the medals are awesome. The weather was chilly but perfect for running. The wasn’t much for scenery except some nice homes a few streets off of the beach. Parking can be a little challenging and traffic control needs to be managed a bit more. I watched as a driver nearly ran over a runner approaching the finish line. I enjoyed the race and will be back to run again next year.
