Well planned and executed race

Race was rescheduled to September due to COVID and smart protocols were put into place. Runners were supposed to maintain 6 feet from other runners but this was not really followed or enforced (other than it being mentioned in communications and at the start line). It also would have been impossible to enforce at the finish area.
Nicely supported race with aid stations with water, Gatorade (lemon lime), and some Honey Stinger products (gels and chews). Volunteers were plenty and friendly.
The course is pretty flat with a few hills. It is mostly interesting scenery except for a stretch around mile 18 that is just straight, flat sidewalk next to a highway. It is not a completely paved course either. There are a few unpaved miles that are an out and back spur. I enjoyed this part of the course quite a bit – it was scenic with big trees.
Start area was well setup with enough toilets and room to warm up. Parking was also really easy. Likewise the finish area was easy to navigate through to collect the medal and post-race snacks. There was also plenty of room just outside the finish area to walk, stretch and cool down.
Overall, it’s a good race if you’re looking for a smaller field and easier course. The volunteers were awesome.
