Every single bit of Trailfest was incredible. Each of the three trails felt once-in-a-lifetime beautiful. The weather was perfect. HQ and the camping area were clean and well organized. The logistics were flawless (and there were A LOT of logistics to manage). The crowd ranged in age and running ability – if you wanted to race for speed that was certainly an option, but if you felt like walking and taking in the views, you’d have plenty of company. I was worried about running in sand and running at altitude – neither of which I had done before, but the trails were so fabulous that I barely noticed. Each of the twists and turns are totally manageable, and the stunning backdrops make it more than worth it. We chose to drive ourselves so we could explore the national parks after, which I definitely recommend. Also, if camping is not your speed, there are plenty of Airbnbs and hotels/inns in Kanab just a short walk from the campsite. I truly enjoyed every second of this event and will be returning annually!
