This was a nice race!
The course: you’ll spend the first part making your way out of downtown before going through the residential suburbs and a country club where you spend a lot of your time.
If you aren’t familiar with Charlotte just know there are a lot of hills. I wasn’t anticipating so many steep hills – and the course has a lot of turns.
The race pool was small so you have lots of space to yourself which is nice.
That said since there weren’t that many runners, there are no corrals everyone kind of lined up and went at the gun.
It was bizarre to me that they kicked off the race with a prayer, instead of the national anthem. Wasn’t into that.
Truist field IS really nice, and you have access to the bathrooms before race start.
