This was my first half marathon. It was difficult but the crowd and snacks along the way helped tremendously. The amount of drink stations was probably one of my favorite parts. There was no point in the race that I felt dehydrated. My favorite part was finishing. I truly felt like I accomplished something great and as I made the home stretch to the finish line I remember thinking back to the families and victims of the bombing and just welling up with tears. I’ll try to do this one again next year.
