This was a beautiful course but very difficult. Rough terrain in some areas, and the actual distance turned out to be longer than a half marathon – my gps tracked 15.3 miles and on a difficult course like this, those extra two were tough!

The aid stations were great – complete with a variety of fuel, water, and enthusiastic volunteers! The medals and goodie bags are probably my favorite – I absolutely love my valencia trail race coffee mug, I use it every morning. All in all, this is a great race and I plan on running it every year!
