Richmond is my favorite marathon. It is not flat/easy but rolling hills & a lot of down hill at just the right times. The crowd support is amazing and the course a beautiful variety of nature, city, neighborhoods, music, celebrations, and so much support. The morning of we are able to drive and show up early am and park easily, stop in a hotel to use amenities and bag check, pass groups etc are seamless. Once you finish you have so many cheers, smiles etc and the post race party is The best!! I make it a girls weekend with my best running friends and we hang at the post race party for drinks, food, pics, dancing (all free) and then a bus is waiting to bring us back to near where we parked. I have run 10+ marathons and this is my FAVORITE 🤩
