Flat Rock Trail Race is a benefit for the Humane Society for Greater Nashua! The course is a 5-mile loop with nearly 600 feet of elevation gain per loop in beautiful Dunstable, Mass. You will start the race by going over the Arched Bridge of the Arched Bridge Conservation Area, down part of the old Nashua, Acton and Boston Railroad bed, then run around a former granite quarry and farm, plus climb to the tops of the old Blanchard Hill Ski Area and Flat Rock Hill! Run/Walk/Hike this well marked loop once for the 5-Mile Race, or for the 6-Hour Race go as many times as you like within the six hour limit.
We’d like to thank the Dunstable Conservation Commission as well as the Dunstable Rural Land Trust for their permission to have the race on the trails. Their support, as well as the support of the Town of Dunstable are very important to us. Please join us in being great guests to the area!
Course Information
Each “loop” starting and ending at the top right parking area is approximately 5 miles with nearly 600 feet of elevation gain. There are no road crossings along this course. There may be people walking their dogs on the paths, so please be aware of your surroundings and yield to the residents as well as their dogs. We are guests of the Town of Dunstable and would like to be good neighbors, especially since they are here year ’round and we are guests for only this one day.
The trail will be marked with ribbons, cones, and arrows. Please pay attention to the trail markings! If you haven’t seen a ribbon in a while, you may want to turn around. 😀
