Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge

The Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge is a trail race on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland. The event will take place at Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby, Maryland. The race consists of a ~5 mile loop where runners will have up to 6 hours to run as much or as little as they would like. All runners will receive a Miocene Epic beach towel, well-marked loop course, helpful and supportive volunteers, delicious food options including vegetarian and vegan meals, fully stocked aid station after each loop, post-run meal, beer & more!.

Every runner will receive:
– A large Miocene Epic beach towel
– Runners completing 50k or more will get a hand-made, ceramic medallion/medal
– Fully stocked aid station with sweets, salty snacks, drinks, fresh breakfast foods (pancakes, fried potatoes, bacon, fruit, etc.) on every loop
– Hot meal for lunch/finish (we’ve done wood fired pizza, roasted elote, chili, fries, etc in the past)
– Podium awards for top 3 men/women in the 6 hour open category
– A beautiful course and plenty of room to set up your own tent, chair, cooler, etc for a personal aid/rest station between loops.
